Curling up with a good cook book is one of my favourite pastimes. I want the book to inspire me with beautiful pictures and easy to follow instructions. The recipes must entice me to make it as soon as possible and Joan’s book meets all my criteria. I have made several of the recipes with delicious results and love the options she also provides. The Pico de Gallo Salsa is fabulous!!
The book is filled with information on making the right choices to create healthy eating habits, complete with grocery lists, choosing herbs, storing foods but most important... how to read food labels!
You need this book in your library and I promise it will be a family favourite that you return to over and over.

I have just finished reading this book from cover to cover. I sincerely wish it could be taught in every high school in Canada; I think that would improve the health of the next generation coming along.
This book contains everything one needs to know about food and cooking in one very readable and enjoyable place.
Congratulations!

This book, with its easy, delicious recipes and clearly explained nutritional information, would make an excellent gift for a young graduate leaving home for the first time - although I have been cooking for six decades, and still learned from it!
